ES&H, Inc. has been awarded with the Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) from The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District. ES&H, Inc. has been honored with one of six $8,000,000, five-year, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) MATOC construction contracts to provide civil works construction services and incidental technical services for a broad range of construction, repair, maintenance, and demolition projects in the geographic area of the Nashville District and the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division of the USACE. Projects will be located in the geographic area of the USACE Nashville District which encompasses a large portion of the state of Tennessee and smaller portions of Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Mississippi, and South Carolina. USACE projects include flood control, navigation, hydropower, recreation, and ecosystem restoration.

ES&H, Inc. enjoyed another successful Unity Day in Oak Ridge! Unity Day brings together the various DOE - Oak Ridge Office federal organizations, contractor personnel, and their families. Over 600 people attended and participated in various events such as a softball tournament for the adults and a fishing tournament for the children.    

Bill Garibay was awarded with special recognition the 2008 Hispanic Business Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY), in the Green Company Category, at the Hispanic Business Magazine EOY Awards Gala on Thursday, November 6th, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

After being named a finalist three times in four years, ES&H, Inc. was recently honored with the Minority Business Excellence Award at the Knoxville Chamber's 2008 Pinnacle Business Awards Ceremony. As stated in the Knoxville Chamber's Commerce publication:

"We have worked with a couple of the other finalists in the category so we knew the competition for this award was top notch." ES&H, Inc. was recently awarded the Department of Energy - Oak Ridge Office (DOE-ORO) Roads, Grounds and Maintenance Service Support contract which is valued at over 10 million dollars. Under this contract, ES&H, Inc. will operate the fuel dispensing stations and equipment maintenance shop at Y12, maintain over 110 miles of Oak Ridge Reservation roadways and parking lots including snow/ice removal, guardrails, signage, barrier gates and locks/keys control. In addition, the company will maintain existing fire grids, and maintain over 30 reservation-wide cemeteries as well as supporting future DOE and public events.

In this position, Mr. Viars will be managing all activities which focus on Environmental, Safety and Health, and Training Services as well as generating leads for various accounts. In 2005, Mr. Viars joined ES&H, Inc. team as a Senior Safety & Health Specialist. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1997 and a Master of Science, Safety and Health Management degree in 2003.
